  • Episode 101
    Eight couples from across the country compete in New York City to win their dream of opening their very own restaurant. Each team consists of four couples that will open two restaurants across the street from one another. Both teams face two challenges; their first is designing a menu for chef/restaurateur Marco Pierre White to taste by end of day one. The second and major challenge is opening each restaurant for service in less than 48 hours. For the first time, the teams will face one of the country's top food critics from Atlantic Magazine who will critique each of them before Marco's elimination, during which comes a surprising turn of events.

  • Episode 102
    The heat is on for the teams when the they are asked to present Marco with a table in their restaurant fully dressed for service at which time they will reveal their restaurants' name and look. During the second and main challenge, each restaurant will be hosting a private party for a fashion designer. This time, their guests will be famous artists and designers and most importantly, a food critic from top fashion magazine Vogue.

  • Episode 103
    The teams are taken to Central Park and given a guided tour on natural foods that are found in nature that can be used for cooking. Later, each team must create a dish in one hour for Marco. The winning team will be awarded the help of a top maitre d' to help them with their preparations and service the following evening. In the second challenge, the teams must incorporate the "fruits of mother nature" into their dinner service, utilizing only ingredients that would be found in the park. When dinner service is finished, the teams are taken aback when they find out that every single diner rated their restaurant with a Zagat rating form. Jim and Nina Zagat lend their critiques before Marco's elimination.

  • Episode 104
    The remaining five teams are called into Marco's kitchen where they are required to prepare a dish using aphrodisiacal ingredients. The winning team receives an exclusive cellar of fine wine and the services of a famous sommelier who instructs them on how to pair wine with food. During the second challenge, each team creates a romantic night of service, as each restaurant will be filled with single people on blind dates and the secret food critic from the Wall Street Journal.

  • Episode 105
    With four couples left, the teams are told to meet Marco in his kitchen for "The Big White Challenge." Marco presents them with Italian dishes he prepared in 20 minutes and cooked in five minutes - then challenges the teams to do the same. The winning team receives an espresso machine and a barista for the entire lunch service the next day. In the second challenge, the teams have to purchase all of their ingredients for lunch service from the "Little Italy" area of Manhattan to serve to all Italian customers including Vincent Pastore and Federico Castelluccio. Marco dines at both restaurants with longtime friend and chef, Mario Batali, and the unknown food columnist from Gourmet Magazine, Colman Andrews. After one of the harshest critiques yet from a food critic, Marco has his own harsh words before the latest couple is eliminated.

  • Episode 106
    As the competition begins to boil, the contestants are thrown for a loop. In "The Big White Challenge," Marco demonstrates one of his signature dishes using only ingredients found in bottles and jars. The contestants' task is to re-create Marco's dish as closely as possible from the ingredients available in the kitchen. The winning team receives the advantage of knowing the identity of the critic at service the next day. In the second challenge, Marco reveals that the teams will be doing two services- breakfast and lunch. The last duo left on the black team wonders how they will get through such a difficult task without any help. Marco surprises the black team with a much needed gift. During service, noted food critic Andrew Knowlton of Bon Apetit exposes himself to the winning team and gives his critique before a very critical elimination.

  • Episode 107
    The remaining two teams are taken to a museum where they are asked to take inspiration from an art gallery and cater an event for uptown socialites and secret food critic Danyelle Freeman from the NY Daily News. The winning team gets to choose which of the two restaurants they want to make over for the finale. During the second challenge, the two teams return to their restaurants and find them completely torn down-each team has to completely remake the restaurant for a grand re-opening in just three days.

  • Episode 108
    The remaining two couples battle it out one last time to win the competition. In order to succeed they must remodel the restaurants, come up with a menu and provide service that is above and beyond anything they have achieved so far. Opening night is filled with numerous celebrities including Marco's guest, Piers Morgan, and various food critics from throughout the series.
