The Cupcake Girls EpisodesSeason 1

Back To Pazsaz Entertainment Network's The Cupcake Girls Page

  • A Girl's Gotta Do What A Girl's Gotta Do
With busy personal lives and a bustling cupcake empire, best friends Heather and Lori have got a tentative hold on a balance between their business and private lives. But when Brian, Heather's father and the Cupcakes' deliveryman, is unable to make some crucial wedding deliveries and Kathie, Heather's mom, works to keep the peace, Heather and Lori are forced to make some personal sacrifices that threaten their balance and call into question their decisions to mix family and friendship with business. Meanwhile, we're introduced to the daily struggles of Cadence, a transitioning transgender woman and Cupcakes' most fabulous and unique employee.

  • The Missing Ingredient
After a number of employees fail to show up for work, Heather and Lori decide to take over hiring from their managers in hopes of finding more reliable staff. However, when the process becomes harder than they thought and the staffing crisis increases, Heather and Lori are forced to work the front counter together again as they discover that the world of hiring is a lot more difficult than it used to be. Meanwhile, Heather tackles her sub-par swimming skills while training for a triathlon as Kathie, the resident Cupcakes den mother, makes her rounds counseling the young Cupcakes' employees.

  • Are We Having Fun Yet?
Heather and Lori are unimpressed by the lack of enthusiasm displayed by their managers. After a meeting with corporate culture guru, Brian Scudamore of 1-800-GOT-JUNK, they decide the best way to infuse their business is with a team building camping trip - but when the scorching sun and clouds of bugs have the managers threatening mutiny, Lori and Heather are forced to re-examine their management methods to save the morale of their company. Meanwhile, Lori pesters Heather to finally set a wedding date with her fiance, Dave.

  • No Pain, No Gain
Determined to make their cupcakes even tastier, Heather and Lori hire Cheryl, a quality control manager, in the hopes that her passion for quality baked goods will breed enthusiasm amongst their staff. But the girls' good intentions come crashing down when Cheryl's drill sergeant manner gives way to 4 AM wake up calls, gruelling baking ???boot camp' and very disgruntled employees. Meanwhile, the first baby born to a Cupcakes employee arrives and Lori's faith in alternative methods to reduce stress begins to waiver and she must decide what she is willing to endure to get pregnant.

  • You Take The Kids
When Kathie and Brian go on an 'adults-only' vacation with Heather's brother and sister-in-law, Heather and Lori are left to fill their shoes at work and take care of Heather's 4-year-old niece and 7-year-old nephew. While struggling to entertain the insatiable youngsters, Heather and Lori face an equally huge challenge when they learn a major grocery chain is threatening their hold on their new dream retail location in an upscale shopping mall. Meanwhile, Heather trains for - and participates in - her first triathlon.

  • To Catch A Thief
Heather and Lori discover that the recent discrepancies in their ledgers have nothing to do with a glitch in their newly installed point-of-sale system, but rather it looks like one of their employees has been stealing from the tills! When the girls' attempt to catch the thief on their own proves to be disastrous, Heather and Lori are left with no choice but to hire a private investigator. Meanwhile, Lori accepts that she is not getting pregnant the old fashioned way and looks to In Vitro Fertilization as her final hope to have a baby of her own.

  • The Only Constant Is Change
Big changes are afoot as Lori undergoes In Vitro Fertilization - but Heather's attempts to keep Lori as de-stressed as possible are threatened by a major business crisis that could have Cupcakes closing its doors in three months if they don't find a major influx of cash. Heather's threshold is tested as she is also forced into dealing with the recent end to her relationship with fiance, Dave, and finds consolation in her mom, Kathie. Meanwhile, Cadence struggles to take the first major steps towards her big transformation.

  • Back Where We Started From
Heather and Lori fly back to their hometown of Victoria to scout possible locations for their latest franchise. When the location of their dreams turns out to be more than they can afford, they are forced to decide whether the risk of going into major debt is worth it. Meanwhile, Heather and Lori are put to work on Lori's parents' farm - including killing their own food for dinner - and enjoy a trip down memory lane when they visit the mall where they first met.

  • Out With The Old, In With The New
As Heather continues to struggle with her newly single status, things heat up in the Cupcakes business and the girls scramble to get their new Park Royal franchise open. When the new fridge fails to be delivered on time and they have yet to pass their health inspection, Heather and Lori begin to wonder if they'll be able to get the store ready in time. Meanwhile, the girls struggle with their latest decision to sell off their very first store and turn it into a franchise - and whether they will be able to break the news to its star employee, Cadence.

  • In Treatment
Heather and Lori's new charity initiative proves impossible to tackle when their constant bickering eventually starts to affect the entire Cupcakes team - but when Heather and Lori undergo some couples' counseling to move past their differences, things go from bad to worse and the Cupcake Girls are forced to question whether they will ever be able to see eye to eye again. Meanwhile, we learn of Kathie's past battle with breast cancer as she goes in for her regular mammogram in hopes of reaching her two year cancer free anniversary.

  • The Big Mixup
Heather and Lori's plans to launch their new Cupcake mix in retail stores - and finally give themselves a more reliable source of income - is threatened when 1000 units are delivered with the wrong baking instructions AND their retailer pulls out. To save their mix and their company, Heather and Lori are challenged to prove they can sell 100 units of mix in five hours - leaving the Cupcake Girls to test how far they'll go to grow their company. Meanwhile, Brian and Kathie decide that it might be time to retire for good.

  • The Big Day
As Heather and Lori prepare for their biggest business day of the year, the Creme de la Creme Grand Wedding Showcase, their entire baking staff quits and leaves them with no cupcakes for their stores or the showcase. On top of that, they suspect one of their competitors is trying to poach their best cake decorator, Rachel. Working low on staff but high off adrenaline, the remaining Cupcake Girls must work together to pull off their biggest day of the year.

  • The New Lori
With the due date of Lori's baby looming in the distance, the Cupcake Girls are forced to consider what the company will look like when Lori takes maternity leave - especially when her crazy idea of a two-and-a-half week leave has Heather begging her to find a proper replacement for what will realistically be a longer absence. While Lori deals with her fear of being replaced, Cadence seriously considers leaving Cupcakes to remedy her personal rut.
