Chef Ramsay wants to make sure the chefs know their beef, so he sends them on a field trip to a meat locker to learn various cuts of beef. Upon returning to Hell's Kitchen, the teams are asked to put their newfound knowledge to the test. That night, Hell's Kitchen is turned into a steak house and the teams race to impress Chef Ramsay.

After sending the chefs to an Asian market, Chef Ramsay challenges them to create three Asian-fusion dishes utilizing poultry, seafood and beef. The teams then present their dishes for judging by Chef Ramsay and Tanya Steel, Editor-in-Chief of Epicurious.com. Chef Ramsay throws in a last-minute twist before sending the losing chef home.

  • 9 Chefs Compete
Chef Ramsay puts the teams' palates to the test in a surprise taste-test challenge. During dinner service, a packed restaurant always causes tensions to run high, but when a few celebrities (guest stars Eric McCormack and Robert Patrick) stop by for dinner, the intensity really heats up.

  • 8 Chefs Compete
When each team member is responsible for creating a dish made with King Crab, each team must choose the strongest plate to present to Chef Gordon Ramsay. During the dinner service, both teams are given a chance to display creativity and specialty by creating their own menus. However, crippling inconsistencies and team sabotages contribute for a surprising elimination round.

  • 7 Chefs Compete
Tensions run high as the remaining chefs join forces to form one team. During the individual challenge, each chef must use fourteen simple ingredients to create a phenomenal dish to impress Chef Ramsay. The winner receives the "best reward" seen in HELL'S KITCHEN thus far, while the losers endure a painful physical punishment. In order to personally outshine the other competitors, chefs must work well as teammates during the heated dinner service that sends one chef to the medic.

  • 6 Chefs Compete
For some added motivation and a little bit of excitement, Chef Ramsay sends the remaining chefs to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ, where one of them will receive a head chef position. The prize for this challenge is the best one yet.
