The Harry Potter Cake
Charm City Cakes has their biggest cake to date with the Los Angeles premiere of Harry Potter. It's all hands on deck as Duff's idea is to build Hogwarts Castle and the lake surrounding it.
Volcano Cakes And Mix Tapes
Charm City Cakes has a busy week as they build a volcano cake, serve as guest bartenders and participate in a celebrity softball game with some famed musicians.
Airplanes And Arks
The week begins with a 13-year-old girl's Bat Mitzvah and the cake she asked for, Noah's Ark with a unicorn on an
island looking sad. Then, Delta Airlines is opening up a sky lounge in New York City that will also celebrate the launch of the Food Bank NYC Goes Orange. The cake is a replica of a Delta Airliner. Last, a couple who resides in Brooklyn have asked Duff to make a cake of their favorite subway car that they take into Manhattan everyday.
Mascots and Mice
Charm City Cakes truly comes full circle. A couple from Season Two, who had the bakery make a cake for their engagement, are back and this time their getting married. The wedding cake will be a four-tiered asymmetric blue and white cake, and the groom s cake is the Hoya mascot from Georgetown. Our second cake is truly an original. A stack of French toast with a French mouse popping out of it in a beret of all things, a mime shirt, and a cigarette in his mouth.
The Spy Who Caked Me
That's right, Sir Roger Moore is turning the big 8-0, and he is being presented with a goodwill ambassador award from a group that enlists Duff and his team to make a cake and present it to Moore, too, at a lunch in his honor at the UN Building in New York City. Duff and gang have also been bestowed the honor of re-creating the infamous bedroom scene from The Exorcist and the Girl Scouts of America have asked Charm City Cakes to make a cake using only Girl Scout cookies.
Skaters And Speedsters
This week at Charm City the crew makes cakes for All Pro skater and skate board designer Kris Markovich's surprise birthday, a four-tier fall season wedding cake, an "over-the-top" cute baby shower cake and a replica of Geof's childhood neighbor's 365 Porsche Speedster.
Celebration Week
It's celebration week at Charm City Cakes where the crew makes a tuning fork cake for the doctor who helped restore a man's hearing, a coffee and cocktail themed 21st Birthday Cake and a Bicentennial Clock Tower Cake celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mount Saint Mary's University.
Police Cars And Wine Bars
This week's cakes include a replica of an actual police cruiser with lights, sirens and all the bells and whistles, a life-size replica of a special magnum of wine for a big charity at $6,000 a plate and rounding out the week, a cake in the shape of a large basket of yarn and an awesome Harley Davidson for a 60th birthday.
Avenue Q Cake
Avenue Q, the Tony award-winning musical, is landing in Baltimore and the cast has asked Duff to make a cake for their opening. The bakery staffs attends the opening night performance of Avenue Q and take a private backstage tour and meeting with the cast and the puppets. Plus,a Guitar Cake for a Bar Mitzvah.
Duff's Birthday
The Ace of Cakes crew rev up two car cakes, a classic blue convertible cake for a grandmother's 90th birthday and a new Jeep cake. Plus, the crew tackles two medical themed cakes including a CT Scanner and a leg in a cast.
Skate, Rattle, Roll
Cakes this week include a giant roller skate for a roller derby all-star game in Baltimore, a Corvette that Geof makes after test driving a real one and a manatee family.
Wedding Week
It's Wedding Week at Charm City Cakes. That's right. This week it is all about weddings and wait until you hear about some of these cakes. The first cake starts off with one of Duff's favorite sports... Hockey. The cake is a replica of the hockey rink complete with the bride and groom skating, and a real Zamboni machine with an LED light. The second cake is a four-tier cake featuring the Baltimore Skyline. The couple are both realtors who were born and raised in Baltimore. The couple met in junior high and went to the jr. prom together. To round out our Wedding Week, our third cake is a very traditional floral tiered cake. This cake is a white and ivory base with lots of floral imprints.
