Then, it's survival of the fittest when they face the Signature Dish Challenge and their first dinner service, during which they cook for VIP guests Nolan Gould and Erica Ash. Crepe Grand Prix The contestants race in the first annual Crepe Grand Prix challenge for the chance to win a luxurious dining experience on a yacht in Santa Barbara. Later, one team struggles right out of the gate during a dinner service featuring VIP guests Noureen DeWulf and Dash Mihok. The Yolks On Them Tensions run high in the house as the teams face their next challenge, which is to make eight unique dishes using a selection of ostrich cuts. While the winners get to go to Big Bear for a zip-lining excursion, the losing chefs have to pluck pine nuts out of pinecones. Surf Riding & Turf Fighting The contestants compete in a surf and turf protein relay for the chance to win a day of surfing at the Wavehouse in San Diego. Meanwhile, the losing team must make sausages from scratch. Later, the pressure is on during dinner service when a VIP 12-top are among the night's guests. Walking The Plank A shocking elimination forces both teams to regroup and chart a new course as they take on the Seven Seas Seafood Challenge, which gives the chefs 30 minutes to prepare a fish dish using a variety of fresh ingredients. Later, guitarist Joe Perry and singer Estelle are invited to the dinner service. Let The Catfights Begin The remaining contestants take part in an Ingredient Crossword Challenge. Later, kid-friendly items must be incorporated into the dinner service during a family night with VIP diners, who include actresses Lauren Lapkus and Ciara Hanna. Don't Tell My Fiance The remaining contestants are tasked with cooking their own version of a Southern staple, which will be judged by chef Chris Hastings. Later, there's a feeling of determination to impress VIP guests J.J. Redick, Blake Lewis, Mircea Monroe and Adrienne Maloof at dinner service. However, stress levels rise and Ramsay makes a shocking decision. Dancing With The Chefs A change leaves the chefs in shock as they prepare to host the International Ballroom Invitational. This special event calls for a special menu, which includes a raw bar that requires one team to break down lobster, scrub clams and oysters, and steam up crabs. Spoon Fed Pureed baby food is tasted by the blindfolded contestants during a challenge that offers the winning team the prize of massages and a nice lunch. Later, dinner service starts off strong with everyone out to impress celebrity diners Josh McDermitt and Jeannie Mai. But then miscommunication and excuses ultimately lead to failure. Dancing In The Grotto The newly formed teams are presented with their first challenge, which is cooking sliders for three special guest judges. Later, the chefs try to impress their celebrity diners, who include Crystal Hefner, Melissa Rivers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, and Ashley Greene. But a tough dinner service ultimately leads to a shocking elimination. Aerial Maneuvers The chefs pair up for a taste challenge, which is followed by a unique dinner service to celebrate major contributors to the charity Stand Up to Cancer. Fusion Confusion Chef Roy Yamaguchi judges dishes that combine international cuisines; and celebrity dining guests are served, including Kellita Smith, Jasika Nicole, Patrick Renna and Tommy Savas. mountains. Black Jacket Lounge There's a new twist introduced by Gordon Ramsay, who decides the recipients of a black jacket by putting the contestants through a series of three challenges. Later, celebrity diners include TV anchor Neil Everett, comedian Pauly Shore and actor Erik Griffin. Tequila Shots? Two eliminations precede a challenge in which the remaining contestants must create a unique dining experience for a large group of well-known chefs, including guest judges Bruce Kalman, Steve Samson, Mette Williams and Alessio Biagini. Then, the winner is taken on a helicopter tour of Los Angeles and treated to lunch with Gordon Ramsay. Finally, dinner service offers the remaining contestants the opportunity to run the pass and try to avoid being sabotaged by Andi and Aaron. Leaving It On The Line It's down to the last two in the Season 16 finale, which finds both chefs working on their menus for the last dinner service. Included: They are treated to makeovers before being surprised by actor Rob Morrow. Also: The contestants cook for MLB player C.J. Wilson and actress Andrea Roth.
