Block Party
The culinary artists dish up fare at a neighborhood party, overseen by chef and Mexican cuisine master Rick Bayless.
Film Food
The chefs are ripe for action when they transform vegetables into art. Then, the real world meets the reel world during a film-themed dinner party hosted by cinema pundit Richard Roeper.
The Elements
The budding chefs' taste buds are scrutinized in a taste test. Guest judge and chef Ming Tsai helps administer the exam. Later, the elimination challenge finds the contestants catering a high-class charity event using elements from the earth.
Tailgating
The remaining chefs are tasked to create a dish that complements a drink. They then must tackle a tailgate meal. Windy City chef Paul Kahan is the guest judge.
Improv
It's a dessert storm when the chefs must create sweets. Then, food gets funny when comedy troupers from Chicago's Second City teach the cooks the fine art of improvisation. Pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini is the guest judge.
Common Threads
The gastronomic gang is challenged to transform a sole ingredient into a healthy meal. Then, a contingent of children helps the chefs devise a simple and nutritious meal for a family of four. Chef Art Smith makes an appearance.
Wedding Wars
Speed and execution are the key ingredients when the contestants shuck, chop, cut and whip their way through a cuisine-themed relay race. Then, they must serve up culinary delicacies at a dream wedding. Pastry chef Gale Gand makes an appearance.
Serve And Protect
The foodies mix it up with salads when they're tasked to modernize the leafy dish. In addition, the group must put a healthy twist on traditionally unhealthy fare, with Season 2 culinary contestant Sam Talbot returning to oversee their progress.
Restaurant Wars
The contest sizzles when the chefs must labor through a hectic breakfast rush at a greasy spoon. Later, the galloping gourmets participate in Restaurant Wars, as they must create and execute a restaurant concept. Anthony Bourdain and chef-restaurateur Jose Andres are the guest judges.
High Steaks
The steaks are high when the gastronomes must clean and butcher meat. Later, they cook up fare at a prime Chicago steakhouse. Chef and guest judge Rick Tramonto oversees their culinary work.
Puerto Rico
The remaining four chefs journey to Puerto Rico to square off for the final three spots. While there, they go hog wild: They must create dishes using different parts of a whole pig. Chef Wilo Benet is the guest judge.
Finale
the remaining three foodies must create a traditional four-course tasting menu, after which the winning chef is announced. Chefs April Bloomfield, Dan Barber and Eric Ripert make appearances. The winner takes home $100,000 and scores a dream gourmet vacation.
Watch What Happens
Host Andy Cohen serves up a reunion with Season 4's chefs, who dish on the four-star dramas and field viewer questions. Series regulars Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Ted Allen make appearances. Also on the menu: The "fan favorite" winner is announced.
